Focus on the platonic, non-sexual, "soulmatey" aspect of the relationship, but there ARE occasional hints at romance (pretty much all combinations of those three, including both male and female Shepards).

This was actually supposed to be finished around the New Years, but I ran into a block halfway through.
So here we have a little shore leave at Purgatory.
It started with a few drinks and friendly conversations. Once they’ve had enough, Shepard and Ash wanted to dance and practically dragged Kaidan onto the dance floor (not that he resisted all that much).
He did however soon get overwhelmed with all the lights and music (I’m sure alcohol helped too), and needed a break.
Although Shepard was having way too much fun and just kept dancing by himself.
What we did on holidays
Nothing special, really.
Making sweets to share with friends. And getting all messy in the process. Yes, they have flour/sugar powder on their faces and hair and clothes XD You know how cooking can get, especially if you don’t have much practice.
Kaidan is concentrating on finishing some details on the gingerbread house (he’s not grumpy, just very focused), and Ashley notes how it’s looking pretty damn good. Now, don’t get any wrong ideas, Shepard isn’t slacking off, he’s working just as hard as the others. It’s just that sometimes he sneaks away to try what they’re making because it’s simply too hard to resist.
Feasting and drinking and raising toasts. Don’t mind Shepard, he’s been waiting for this dinner forever!
Exchanging gifts. Like with everything else, Kaidan takes wrapping his presents responsibly, which is why his packages look elegant and tasteful; Shepard isn’t very good at this, so he just goes for a bright and colourful look - hence the flashy green/red, and blue/yellow; Ashley didn’t want to bother with wrapping altogether, since it’s going to waste anyway, so she simply slapped ribbons on the the boxes. I wish I had any idea what they got for each other…
Playing outside. They specifically looked for a snowy planet and landed there to have some seasonal fun. The guys peacefully minded their own business, making a snowman, when Ashley suddenly decided it was time for some real action. Major! We are under attack! Protect the civilian!
And then, cold and tired after playing in the snow, resting and relaxing in a warm room, drinking hot chocolate and looking at the stars through the huge window.

That was a hell of a pain to make (and I’m not talking about emotional pain and all the FEELS), but at least they got to spend Christmas together :3
Okay, that’s what this is about: the guys just finished making this gingerbread house; when they went to take a picture of it, being the show-offs that they are, these dorks started striking poses. And then Shepard decided to use the photo as a card and badly edited it into an ornamental frame for a more festive look.
Merry end of December to everyone who celebrates Christmas or something else, or who, like me, just uses the opportunity to have fun :D
